A practical approach to biology from the standpoint of plant, animal and fish production in gardens & farms, and small ponds & lakes. Best practices for planting diversity, rotation, natural soil enhancers, greenhouses, square-foot gardening, and more. (A science elective for all programs, and except by special request it is offered in winter/spring semesters only.)

A practical look at audiology from the standpoint of sound systems, audio reinforcement in audience situations, recording, sound effects, and related elements of the field. While offered as a general Science elective, this course is strongly recommended for Theology, Civic Activism & Political Science students, as sound reinforcement systems are a major part of nearly all public gatherings of more than 50 people. Equally useful to musicians and those wanting to eventually be involved in either straight audio or video recording with an audio component.
